Luddïna is a French artist born in 1989.

Of Caribbean origin, she was surrounded from her earliest years by vibrant, intense colors. The lush flora and fauna of the Antilles would become the source of her colorful, luminous universe. Her childhood was steeped in 90s animated series, tales and stories, visual arts, and dance. All of this material would go on to nourish her inner imagination and creativity over the years.

Graduated from an applied arts school, she carried out various freelance projects over the years. In parallel, she continued her artistic exploration, practicing outdoor drawing and studio painting in her free time.

In 2020, she decided to turn professional as a painter and begin her artistic career by bringing her practice and canvases to public attention.

She is drawn to essential works by Gustav Klimt, the landscapes of David Hockney, the poetry of John William Waterhouse, the emotion of Impressionist paintings, and the abstraction of Qiu Shihua. She is also particularly fascinated by the ancestral art of Maori tattooing, and the contemporary Caribbean works of Ernest Breleur and Valérie John.

Luddïna currently lives and works in her studio near Paris.
